Nan Goldin at Multiplex’s 12th Edition
In an initiative of the Universidade Lusófona do Porto, Nan Goldin, North American photographer and filmmaker, is the guest of the twelfth edition of Multiplex, within the scope of the award of the Doctor Honoris Causa. Nan Goldin gives a masterclass on November 29th at 15:00pm at Teatro Nacional S. João and follows a retrospective cycle of her work organized in partnership with TMP between the 29th and 30th of November. Free admission for the entire programme.

Creative Europe Programme at ESCS
European Funding opportunities for the Audiovisual Sector: Creative Europe MEDIA Programme. A session held at Escola Superior de Comunicação Social will address the role of the new Creative Europe 21-27 Programme for the recovery of the cultural and creative sectors.

FIKE – Évora International Short Film Festival
The International Short Film Festival of Évora returns from November 21st to 27th, organised by Sociedade Operária de Instrução e Recreio Joaquim António d’Aguiar.
FIKE is the festival of cinema in the city of Évora, an opportunity for the dissemination and promotion of cinema, audience formation, in a dialogue with the heritage of the city, candidate to European Capital of Culture 2027.

Project Manifest – Open Call
Five European entities present the Manifest project, funded by the European Commission under the Creative Europe Programme, that aims to contribute to the re-imagination of the collective European memory of the transatlantic slave trade through a participatory, innovative and interdisciplinary approach to artistic creation.
A Call will run from 26 October to 27 November 2022, for artists and creators to participate in artistic residencies dedicated to reflecting on the memory of the transatlantic trade in enslaved people.
The artist residencies will take place in 2023 in Hungary, Portugal and Denmark. Artists and creators residing in the countries covered by Creative Europe can apply.

Cinenova – Interuniversity Film Festival
The 4th edition of Cinenova – Interuniversity Film Festival, an initiative of the Social Sciences and Humanities’ Faculty of Universidade Nova de Lisboa (NOVA-FCSH).
This unique event in Portugal has received 1400 shor film submissions from 100 countries all over the world.
