Cândido de Oliveira works in the telegraph and postal services, edits Stadium magazine and leads the national football team. The British give him a mission: to set up Operation PAX against a German invasion.
Between football matches, coded messages, secret meetings and an unrelenting political police force, Cândido will have to defend his ideals while protecting those closest to him. Cândido will have to fight for freedom to defend his love of football.
