Clara is a teacher in a small village in the countryside and receives a new student. Margarida has just lost her mother, a victim of domestic violence, and has gone to live with her aunt, who is married, has two kids, and works at her in-laws’ café. The teacher is not indifferent to the student’s absences and sadness who finally asks her for help.
Is Margarida being a victim or seeing, once again, some kind of violence? Does the trauma of having witnessed her mother’s murder prevent her now from being able to distinguish reality from fear? Should Clara, knowing that she is in the presence of a very respected family in this land, interfere or not?
