Helena, a beautiful 53-year-old cellist, is married to Mario, an older man who works in high finance and has convinced her to let him manage her career. Jealous, obsessive, and controller, Mário systematically criticizes Helena as an artist and a woman, causing her to feel insecure to the point that she abandons the stage and becomes isolated, shut away at home, dependent on him financially and emotionally.
Rodrigo, a young radio broadcaster who searches for missing or retired artists on his show “Nas curvas do tempo”, despite the threats and pressure he receives, will try to help Helena escape the prison that Mário has created around her.
