Three teens – Pedro, Maria and Paulo – stand atop a viaduct. Cars speed by underneath. They walk to the ledge.
Months before, António closes the door to his house in the country for the last time. He’s moving to Lisbon, sacrificing for his family. His son Jorge is numbed by the crisis, Lena, Jorge’s wife, is having an affair with her boss, and his grandson Pedro is barely a stranger to him. Little by little, António and Pedro become closer, while Lena and Jorge grow apart.
But the tragic pact that unites Pedro, Maria and Paulo will leave the family in a desperate trail of decay and regret, where no one can pretend that nothing ever happened.
