Vanessa (Sara Matos) receives news of the death of an estranged aunt, who has left her an old theatre in her will, a venue dating back to the golden age of the Portuguese revue tradition (Revista à Portuguesa). Her agent, Tozé Leal (José Pedro Vasconcelos), tries to persuade her to sell the dilapidated building, but Vanessa feels drawn to the theatre’s glorious past. She convinces her friends, Joana (Ana Guiomar) and Ribeiro (Manuel Marques), to put on a musical production in an effort to restore the theatre to its former splendor. However, turning the dream into reality will not be easy: Armando (José Raposo), the owner of a neighbouring theatre, will do everything he can to stop Vanessa.
