The Portugal Film Commission took part in the 2026 edition of Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival by hosting a panel discussion on sustainability in production, held on 21 July as part of the Curtas Pro programme.

The second application period for the Medium-Budget Film and Audiovisual Production Incentive opens on 28 September 2026 at 10h00 and closes on 12 October 2026 at 18h00 (mainland Portugal time).

MIFA is the industry programme of the Annecy Festival, which this year honoured two productions with Portuguese involvement. "Decorado" received the Paul Grimault Award, while "Because Today Is Saturday" won the Annecy City Special Award. The festival programme also featured a further seven films produced or co-produced with Portugal.
