The 48 Hour Film Project is a worldwide competition, usually held in about 130 cities around the world, based on a basic premise: the challenge of producing an entire short film in just 48 hours; the participating teams must meet some specific criteria for the creation of their work. The films in competition have their premiere in cinemas and are evaluated by an Official Jury. Among the several categories in competition, an obvious highlight is the election of the Best Film; a short that represents its city at Filmapalooza, a festival where all the local winners are screened and where the representatives of the 48HFP are selected at the Short Film Corner at Cannes Festival.
The Portugal Film Commission joins as a partner of this project.
