“Filming in Portugal: See the big picture” is the new film industry podcast released this Wednesday, November 22. Independent cinema, festivals, incentives, sustainability, short and feature films are some of the themes highlighted in the podcast that is the new project of Portugal Film Commission.
The professor and journalist for Variety magazine, Martin Dale, hosts the show, interviewing professionals of the audiovisual and film sector who share their insights into some of the most up to date issues and trends on film.
“Cash rebate, co-productions, and countless locations. Welcome to Portugal” is the title of the first episode, which features Luís Chaby Vaz, film commissioner and president of the Portuguese Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual (ICA). A conversation about incentives, co-production agreements, and the strategy to position Portugal in “a very competitive environment – the international competition for grabbing big productions.”
Markus Duffner, head of Locarno Pro, Maryllis Gonzalez, line producer, Filipa Cardoso, director for communication and digital marketing at Turismo de Portugal, and Nuno Fonseca, CEO of Sound Particles, are the guests that follow Luís Chaby Vaz.
