CINANIMA 2021 is on! From November 8 to 14, in Espinho, this animation film festival offers a wide variety of competitive and non-competitive programs, as well as several parallel activities.

With International competitive sections for short films, feature films and school or final school-year films, and two sub-sections in the National competition – the António Gaio Award, for best film, and the Young Portuguese Filmmaker Award, with two categories (up to 18 years old and between 18 and 30 years old), CINANIMA also presents a diversified Non-Competitive Section, with programmes dedicated to highlighted countries, author retrospectives, thematic programmes and also the Grand Panorama, which includes the Animated Mermaid and The Schools Come to CINANIMA sessions, whose target audience are children and young people of school age.

The Festival also offers exhibitions, workshops, seminars, conferences and meetings with directors.
