
Around 20 producers involved in the second edition of Jumpgate – Inspiring European Producers participated in a visit to Setúbal, organized by the Portugal Film Commission last Tuesday, October 24.
The day started with a guided tour to Convento da Arrábida, where the group got to know about the history of the first Arrábida’s friars who lived in cells excavated in the rocks, as well as the construction of Convento Novo (“New Convent”), in the 16th century, and its acquisition by Fundação Oriente.
The program continued in the city of Setúbal. Casa da Baía hosted a Jumpgate training session, followed by a presentation about Portugal Film Commission and lunch prepared by the Municipality of Setúbal.
Last Saturday, October 21, Culturgest hosted the Portugal Film Commission Cocktail, a moment when this edition’s Nebulae and Arché awards were presented.

Jumpgate is dedicated to European producers and aims to foster the sharing of ideas, exchange of knowledge and promotion of future partnerships between experienced and emerging professionals. The program was part of 5th edition of Nebulae, Doclisboa’s industry and networking space that aims to create training and promotion opportunities for professionals in the sector.
