Equinoxe Europe, the International Screenwriters’ Workshop, is taking place through 11 November in Lisbon, with the aim of helping film and television scriptwriters develop the potential of their projects.
eQuinoxe Europe was founded in Berlin in February 2001 with the aim of supporting European filmmakers in script development to enable them to be more competitive internationally.
Since 2001, over 1,400 projects have been submitted, 240 writers have participated in workshops with their producers and/or co-writers, 9 films have been nominated for the Oscars by their countries, one was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film and one was awarded Best Picture.
Portugal Film Commission joins eQuinoxe’s presence in Portugal with a presentation about Filmar em Portugal, directed to participants of the International Screenwriters Workshop.
