The simplification and facilitation of the entire filming process in Portugal is one of the competences of the Portugal Film Commission, as the responsible structure for streamlining all the procedures for filming requests from Portuguese and foreign producers, in the national territory.
Facing this challenge, PFC has worked in partnership with AMA – Agency for Administrative Modernization to create the “Filmar em Portugal” Simulator, a service featured in the EPortugal.gov.pt platform, that identifies the administrative procedures for licensing, authorisation, or prior communication required for filming in Portugal, providing integrated, and easily accessible information, regarding the various entities competent for the process.
The creation of this simulator, which is already operational, facilitates information and access to administrative requests for any national or foreign citizen.
The “Filmar em Portugal” Simulator results from the collaborative work between PFC, AMA and the entities involved in the filming authorisation processes.
This articulation has been essential to guarantee the construction of a reliable solution, the optimization of the involved resources, deliver more transparent and faster authorisation processes and, consequently, a better provision of public service by all the partners involved.
