TorinoFilmLab selected 16 projects that will be part of this year’s edition of ScriptLab, a program dedicated to feature films in early stages of development. The 16 writers and directors will be joined by three co-authors and four story editor trainees, who will pass through Porto next June.

Séverine Cornamusaz, Miguel López Beraza, Aleksandra Swierk and Selina Ukwuoma are the renowned experts of script consultancy who will accompany participants throughout five sessions. The program includes residential sessions that will take place in Berlin (April), Portugal (June) and Turin (November).

In total, the program received 721 applications. Among the 23 participants from 20 countries is the  Portuguese director João Salgado, with the project Atropical Energy.

ScriptLab is organized by TorinoFilmLab – National Museum of Cinema with the support of Creative Europe – MEDIA. This edition will feature a partnership between the Portugal Film Commission, the Instituto do Cinema e do Audiovisual (ICA) and Filmaporto – film commission.
