International conference brought film commissions together in Los Angeles

Representatives from over 30 countries and regions worldwide took part in AFCI Week, the conference organised by the AFCI – Association of Film Commissioners International, held from 25 to 28 August in Los Angeles, USA.

Ana Marques, Executive Director of the Portugal Film Commission, attended the event, which brought together association members for presentations on industry development and networking sessions among professionals.

The programme also included various workshops, meetings with location managers, independent producers, and executive producers from major studios, as well as visits to local studios.

Regarding Portugal’s representation in international associations, it should be noted that the Portugal Film Commission is a member of the AFCI, as well as the EUFCN – European Film Commission Network, which held a meeting with its members during this event.
