Luso-Galician Forum brought together Portuguese and Galician producers

Events

This year’s edition of the Luso-Galician Forum: Creativity and Coproduction took place on Monday, 24 November, at the Porto Social Hub, as part of the Porto/Post/Doc: Film & Media Festival. The initiative once again brought together Portuguese and Galician production companies for a meeting dedicated to dialogue, cooperation and project development on both sides of the Luso-Galician border.

Around 95 participants attended the Forum, which combined pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with informal networking moments, allowing for the exchange of experiences, the identification of common interests and the exploration of coproduction opportunities.

The event was attended by Manuel Claro, Vice-President of the Portuguese Institute of Cinema And Audiovisual (ICA), Ana Marques, Executive Director of the Portugal Film Commission, and Jacobo Sutil Nesta, Director of the Axencia Galega das Industrias Culturais. Also present were Dolores Meijomín, Audiovisual Policy Coordinator at the Axencia Galega das Industrias Culturais, José Fragoso, Programming Director at RTP 1, and Dario Oliveira, Artistic Director of the festival.

The Luso-Galician Forum is the result of a partnership between the Portugal Film Commission, the Axencia Galega das Industrias Culturais (Xunta de Galicia) and Porto/Post/Doc. It follows on from the Professional Coproduction Meetings Portugal–Galicia, whose most recent edition took place in 2019.
