Portugal Film Commission is once again present at EFM Landmark, from March 1st to 5th, at the epicentre of one of the most important movie festivals in the world, Berlinale, which gathers more than 9000 participants each year.
With a digital stand that promotes Portugal as a filming destination, PT Cash Rebate, Scouting Programme and the available incentives to film in Portugal, PFC will also take part of the EFM Industries, a series of online sessions comprising various events: cutting-edge and interactive talk formats, workshops, matchmaking and networking events.
At Portugal Film Commission‘s EFM Industry Session, scheduled for today, at 3.30PM (Berlin time), Manuel Claro, Film Commissioner, invites Julian Hicks, from Moviebox (UK), that produced There’s Always Hope, by Tim Lewiston, filmed in the Algarve region, and funded by the PT Cash Rebate system; Márcio Rosário, from Três Tons Visuais , in representation of the Brazilian production company Tetelo Frames, who recently filmed ”Fortune Cookie”, in Oporto, a project funded by the PT Scouting Programme, and, last but not least, José Amaral, Managing Director of SPi, responsible for the first Portuguese Netflix Original, “Glória”, as well as co-production projects like “Back Home” and “Dry Water”, this last one with the important participation of HBO for the second season, all funded by the PT Cash Rebate.
This Session will provide an exchange of thoughts and ideas about the experiences of the 3 producers with the incentive programmes PT Cash Rebate and Scouting Programme, and an insight on how filming in Portugal has been taking place during the pandemic.
More than enough reasons to join us at 2021’s edition of EFM Landmark!
Accreditation for the event will be available until March 5th at bit.ly/EFM2021.
