Portugal Film Commission took part in Focus London 2025, held on 8 and 9 December at the Business Design Centre in London. In this edition, the Portuguese presence was marked by a shared stand between Portugal Film Commission and Loulé Film Office, within a space that also included Filmaporto – Film Commission and Centro de Portugal Film Commission.
Over the two days of the market, Portugal Film Commission met with professionals interested in learning more about the conditions Portugal offers as a filming and production destination. Production incentives through Pic Portugal and the diversity of available locations were among the topics most frequently addressed during these meetings.

One of the key moments of the Portuguese participation was the presentation “Filming in Portugal – Great Locations, wonderful stories”, included in the official Focus programme. On 9 December, Ana Marques, Executive Director of Portugal Film Commission, presented the work carried out by the Commission, highlighted the country’s competitive advantages and clarified questions regarding incentives and production support. The presentation was followed by a cocktail hosted by Loulé Film Office, providing an opportunity to further develop networking and strengthen connections with international producers and partners.
Alongside the market programme, Portugal Film Commission also took part in several relevant industry events, including those organised by the EUFCN – European Film Commission Network. The network hosted a members’ meeting at art’otel London Hoxton on 7 December, featuring a series of panels and discussions on the sector. On 9 December, during the networking cocktail, it was announced that Figueira da Foz is a finalist for the EUFCN Location Awards 2025.
Portugal Film Commission’s agenda also included the AFCI – Association of Film Commissioners International and Amazon MGM Studios brunch, held on 10 December at BAFTA headquarters, bringing together film commissions and industry professionals from around the world.
