The Portugal Film Commission and the Historical Villages of Portugal promoted a technical training session aimed at strengthening the capacity of these territories in Central Portugal to host film and audiovisual productions. The initiative took place on Wednesday, 4 February, at Belmonte Jewish Museum.
Around 20 technicians from the municipalities of the Historical Villages of Portugal Network took part in the session, which was led by Ana Marques, Executive Director of the Portugal Film Commission. During the meeting, questions were addressed and suggestions and good practices were shared, helping to streamline procedures and enhance the conditions of these municipalities to welcome national and international productions.

Strengthening coordination between this network and the Portugal Film Commission was one of the key objectives of the initiative, alongside the harmonisation of procedures and the reinforcement of the positioning of the Historical Villages as film-friendly destinations.
It should be recalled that the Portugal Film Commission is part of the PROVERE Collective Efficiency Strategy – Historical Villages of Portugal 2030, which recognises the uniqueness of these villages and their surrounding territories as a lever for attracting film and audiovisual productions.
