Portugal Film Commission is going to be at MIPCOM Cannes that takes place between October 16 and 19 in France. Portugal will also be represented by the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual (ICA), Association of Independent Television Producers (APIT) and the Portuguese television channels RTP, SIC and TVI.
The Portuguese participation aims to promote Portugal as an excellent shooting destination for film and audiovisual productions, as well as to disseminate the most recent national productions and the co-production agreements.
The 39th MIPCOM takes place at Palais des Festivals and will bring together more than 12.000 delegates from over 110 countries. In 2023, China is recognized as the Country of Honour of this international co-production and entertainment content market.
The program comprises conferences, events, world premieres and several awards, including TBI Content Innovation Awards. The Portuguese-Spanish series Motel Valkirias, supported by the Portuguese Cash Rebate, is on the shortlist for the Best New Scripted Series Non-English Language award.
