Portugal is the featured country at this year’s edition of Conecta FICTION & ENTERTAINMENT, which began this Tuesday, 18 June, in the Spanish city of Toledo. The focus of this edition is shared with Brazil, with the event showcasing programmes dedicated to the industry of these two Portuguese-speaking countries, which together have over 250 million speakers worldwide.
The first panel dedicated to Portuguese audiovisual, taking place on 19 June, features Ana Marques, executive director of the Portugal Film Commission. Until Friday, the market will present two more sessions dedicated to the Portuguese industry with representatives from production companies, television channels, and associations, among other industry professionals.
Furthermore, four Portuguese productions and a co-production with Brazil have been selected for the pitching sessions that will run until 21 June.
