An audiovisual production meeting was held on 11 and 12 May between Luxembourg and Portuguese entities and professionals, as part of the State Visit of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg to Portugal, with the aim of sharing ideas, promoting the mission and work developed, the projects and talents, allowing potential future projects to be explored.
On May 11th, at ICA, a workshop was held dedicated to sharing information about the support programmes for film and audiovisual production in both countries, with participation of the Film Fund Luxembourg, ICA and PFC. Manuel Claro, Film Commissioner, presented the general scope of action of the Portugal Film Commission, focusing on the financial incentives available through the Cinema and Tourism Support Fund.
On the 12th, a Fam Tour around Sintra was organised in a partnership between the PFC and Parques de Sintra, with a visit to Monserrate Park and Palace.
This initiative, which strengthens the relationship between both countries and theirfilm and audiovisual industry key players, follows the creation of the Film and Audiovisual Co-productions Support Fund between Portugal and Luxembourg, on 12 July 2021, with the Protocol signature that took place at the Cannes Film Festival – Marché du Film.
