The Department of Film and Media Arts of the Lusófona University, in partnership with HDM – Hochschule der Medien Stuttgart, and with the support of the Portugal Film Commission, offers a new course this academic year, in the field of Ecologically Sustainable Film Production: the postgraduate course “Green Consultants – Sustainable Management of Audiovisual Production”.
With registrations open until November 2nd, this course reinforces the importance of training professionals in the sector in sustainability issues, in order to respond to the needs and demands that in the short and medium term will be placed in different areas and moments of film and audiovisual production.
The postgraduate course begins on November 7, 2022 and is aimed at film and audiovisual professionals interested in promoting environmentally conscious filmmaking processes. Certification as a green consultant provides the necessary skills to adopt or advise production companies to implement sustainable measures and behaviors in all phases of production.
With a duration of 16 weeks, this course combines remote learning, face-to-face sessions, a project assignment, and self-study sessions.
The promotion of awareness, empowerment and action practices in the field of sustainability has been one of the CBP’s bets for cinema and audiovisual, since the launch, in May 2021, of the GreenShooting Portugal guide, and the organization of conferences and workshops for professionals in the sector, in April and July of the same year.
