“Environmental sustainability, Cash Rebate and Cash Refund” was the theme of the information session that took place online on April 12. The initiative arose following the introduction of environmental sustainability criteria in the decrees that regulate the Pic Portugal – Cash Rebate Incentive and the Pic Portugal – Cash Refund Incentive.
Dozens of producers, directors and other professionals from the sector participated in the session, which included Ana Marques, executive director of the Portugal Film Commission, and Dörte Schneider Garcia, president of the Association of Green Consultants Portugal – Repensar, clarifying doubts.
For the first time in Portugal, applications will be valued if meeting these criteria. For both incentives, the inclusion of an environmental sustainability plan carried out by a specialized consultant (green shooting consultant) means 1 point. In the case of the Cash Refund, applications that include an environmental audit of the production (in addition to the sustainability plan) may be valued at 2 points.
This information session open to the industry was promoted by the Portugal Film Commission and the Association of Green Consultants Portugal – Repensar.
