Portugal, Spain and Europe at Conecta Magaluf-Mallorca
Conecta Magaluf-Mallorca took place on the island of Mallorca, in an event that succeeds Conecta Fiction & Entertainment on the occasion of its 10th anniversary. Portugal and Spain were at the centre of a panel discussing public incentives in Europe and their role in attracting international productions.

Marché du Film: promoting Portugal to the international industry
This year’s Marché du Film took place from 12 to 20 May. The Portugal Film Commission once again participated in what is widely regarded as the world’s leading market for the film industry, in an edition that brought together around 16.000 participants from more than 140 countries.

Portugal Film Commission strengthened its collaboration with IndieLisboa
The 23rd edition of IndieLisboa – International Film Festival took place from 30 April to 10 May, and the Portugal Film Commission once again partnered with the festival’s industry programme, reinforcing its presence at the event.

Sophia Awards honour projects supported by the Cash Rebate
The Sophia Awards once again celebrated Portuguese productions in a ceremony attended by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, which took place at the CCB. Banzo, the feature film by Margarida Cardoso supported by the Cash Rebate Incentive, won ten awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Cinematography.
