Portugal attended the European Film Market in Berlin
The EFM, the industry event of the Berlin International Film Festival, returned to the German capital from 12 to 18 February. Portugal was present with a stand hosted by the Portuguese Institute of Film and Audiovisual (ICA) and the Portugal Film Commission, which served as a meeting point for Portuguese professionals.

Figueira da Foz won the EUFCN Audience Location Award 2025, a prize decided by public vote and presented by the EUFCN. The announcement was made during a ceremony held at the Radisson Collection Berlin, on the sidelines of the European Film Market (EFM).

Portugal Film Commission holds training session in the Historical Villages
Around 20 technicians from the municipalities of the Historical Villages of Portugal Network took part in the session, where questions were addressed and suggestions and good practices were shared, helping to streamline procedures and enhance the conditions of these territories.

Loulé hosted the first edition of the Ibero-American Animation Market – MAIA, which took place between January 21 and 23 and was attended by the Portugal Film Commission, reinforcing the institutional commitment to the development and internationalization of Portugal’s animation sector.

EURODOC 2026
1-7 March | Porto
Over the course of seven days, 45 participants from 32 countries will come together to embark on an eight-month programme dedicated to developing documentary projects and strategically consolidating their professional trajectories. The session is co-organised by Porto/Post/Doc and supported by the Portugal Film Commission, ICA, Turismo de Portugal and Turismo do Porto e Norte.
